From my own TOEFL journey, you’ll usually see your scores online about six days after you take the test. I took the iBT on a Tuesday, and the online result popped up in the ETS portal exactly six days later. The mailed report arrived about 10, 12 days after the test, depending on postal flow where I lived. If you’re racing toward a deadline, use the online score delivery to send official scores to schools as soon as they appear in your account; that delivery is instant to the recipient once you submit. Just keep in mind that delays happen around holidays or if there’s a general postal backlog, so plan a little extra time. In my circle, one friend had the online score on day six but the paper copy arrived two weeks later due to a misrouted mail. Bottom line: expect the online score within roughly a week, and the physical report about two weeks, with potential delays during busy seasons.

From my experience, official TOEFL iBT scores show up about six days after your test date. You’ll see unofficial results on screen right after you finish, but those aren’t final. The official report is posted in your ETS account and you’ll get an email with a link when it’s ready. Holidays and weekends can push that to roughly a week. I once waited an extra day around a long weekend, but never more than seven days. If you need faster results for apps, schedule earlier test dates and submit using the official scores once they’re posted; you can also send score reports to programs once you’ve downloaded them.
